Collection: Box Mods

The Vaping Lodge is home to a large collection of box mods from an array of popular brands, including Vaporesso, Voopoo, Dovpo, Geekvape, and more. Whether you're looking for a dual 21700 battery mod with heaps of power and battery life, a mod with a small built-in battery for easy portability, or anything in between, we have a box mod for you.

What is a Box Mod?

Box mods are vape devices that work alongside a tank to satisfy your vaping needs. Typically shaped like a box, devices like this often house multiple removable batteries (18650, 21700, etc), but they can also house a built-in battery. Many of our box mods come as a kit with a tank.

Most dual battery box mods can reach 200W outputs, while single battery devices range from 50W to 100W. This makes box mods incredibly versatile, and they can work with both regular tanks and rebuildables. Of course, though, they are more complex to use than pod systems.

How to Choose the Right Box Mod

Choosing the right box mod for you is easy when you know what to look for. There are several factors to consider when purchasing a box mod vape, and this goes beyond the appearance of the device.

  • Box Mod Wattage/Power Output: Box mods are available in a variety of different wattages. They tend to start at 50W, but there are box mods on the market that hit 200W+. Most people don't need more than 100W, even with large coils in an RDA.
  • Box Mod Batteries: Some box mod vapes use removable batteries, while others have built-in batteries. Box mods with multiple batteries usually have higher power output levels, but will also exhibit less voltage drop as they discharge.
  • Temperature Control: Many modern box mod vapes feature temperature control with coils of the correct materials. This enables you to choose a target temperature for your coils, making your vape smoother and more consistent.
  • Other Features: Physical lock switches, touchscreens, and water resistance are just a few examples of the additional features found on many box mods.

Choosing the specific box mod you want to use is easiest when you balance these considerations. For example, someone using a 24mm RDA at 100W might choose a dual battery 200W box mod to ensure that they have plenty of headroom and some extra battery life.

As another example, someone using an MTL tank is unlikely to need more than 50W out of their box mod. In this case, a single 21700 100W box mod like the OXVA Velocity LE would be a great choice.
